The Most Effective Water Purification/Filtration Methods

Way To Build A Water Filter

Filtering water is important for people who are hiking, but even then some people are not aware of how to build a water filter. Here is some information that will help people in getting to build their own water filter, but also have it built in the proper order. Then people, when hiking, can easily purify their own water.

Pebbles and sand needs to be on the top layer of the filter. When this is present, it will allow the filtering process to start, but also help to capture some of the bigger particles that can easily ruin your drinking experience.

The next layer in the filter needs to be cloth and charcoal. The cloth will keep the sane and pebbles from running down into the filter, the charcoal will help to remove some of the chemicals and other items in the water. The cloth on the bottom is necessary to keep the charcoal in place.

After this, the filter needs to be completed by going back through sand and pebbles. After that the water  will have most of the impurities removed. However, the bacteria and viruses will still be in the water.

To complete the purification of the water, the next step is to get the water boiled. By boiling the water, it will kill most, if not all, of the bacteria and viruses. Then people can drink the water and know it has been safely and chemically free filtered.

After all of this has been completed, people will have clean water that is ready to be drank. This in turn will help people in getting their drinks to keep them hydrated when they are hiking in the mountains or just wanted to go for a long stroll through the middle of the woods.
